My interest in photography began about 6 years ago and it still continues to to be my passion today. I have had many images published in tourist magazines, books, internet tourist guides, calendars along with commissioned work. I also teach digital photography and digital imaging techniques.
I have also won The Irish Meteorological Society Photography competition 2010 with my image of the McGillycuddy Reeks and finished runner-up in 2011 with the image Pine Island.
The Irish landscape is always changing its colour and light due to our mild climate and I try to capture this on my travels around the countryside. Most of my images are from the western counties but I hope to add more from the Northern, Southern and Eastern regions soon.
The equipment I use:
Nikon D90 DSLR
Nikkor DX AF-S 18-105mm VR lens
Sigma 70-300mm + macro lens
Nikon Speedlite SB-600 flash
Hama circular 67mm polariser
B+W 4x 67mm Neutral Density Filter
B+W 1000x Neutral Density Filter
Lumix DMC FZ50 35-420mm Bridge Camera
I post process using various image editing software.
